The Manager, Whole of Energy Strategy and Transition, is responsible for leading a small team that informs the strategic direction of the Energy Group's work program to deliver Victoria's energy transition.
The role will work across the Energy Group to identify and explain the strategic implications of the transition for the workplan of the Group.
The role involves leading policy analysis and developing a narrative to support explanation of the energy transition.
It also involves collaborating with other members of the Division and Group that are responsible for work programs that impact the energy transition.
The successful applicant will have a strong focus on detail, coupled with strong energy and strategic policy leadership experience, and demonstrated strong project management capabilities.
The role requires the incumbent to demonstrate high level inter-personal and stakeholder management skills, including the capacity to work flexibly across the Energy Group.
The role will liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across government.
They will also be required to develop effective working relationships across all Energy Group Divisions as needs, and with other Groups within the Department.
A relevant tertiary qualification.
Relevant experience within government with a strong understanding of policy and the operating context.
