Emanate Technology is working with a federal government organisation seeking an experienced Information Architect to support a major transformation program.
This role will focus on designing, structuring and governing information assets to ensure they align with business needs and enterprise objectives.
Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you'll help define information models, metadata standards, taxonomies and governance frameworks that support consistent and effective information management across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across business and technology teams and has a robust background in information architecture, governance and stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
Lead stakeholder workshops and information discovery activities
Assess and document existing information assets, repositories and information structures
Analyse information flows, dependencies and governance requirements
Design information architecture frameworks aligned to business and enterprise objectives
Develop information models, taxonomies, metadata standards and classification structures
Define information governance standards, recommendations and supporting documentation
Support integration and interoperability requirements across systems and services
Work closely with business, data, enterprise and solution architecture teams
Produce architecture artefacts, governance documentation and executive-level briefings
Support governance activities, implementation planning and adoption initiatives
Contribute to Agile delivery practices and maintain work items within Azure DevOps
Provide knowledge transfer and support capability uplift within the organisation
About You
Demonstrated experience as an Information Architect within complex enterprise environments
Proven experience designing and implementing information architectures, information models and content structures
Strong experience developing metadata frameworks, taxonomies and information classification models
Experience developing information governance standards, frameworks and best practices
Strong understanding of information management principles and governance requirements
Ability to understand business information requirements and translate them into practical information architecture outcomes
Experience aligning information architecture with enterprise, data and solution architecture practices
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
Excellent written communication skills, including the development of architecture artefacts, standards, governance documentation and presentations
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Must have Baseline clearance.
Highly Regarded
Federal Government experience
Experience working alongside Enterprise, Data or Solution Architects
Knowledge of privacy, records management, information governance and security classification requirements
Experience using Azure DevOps
Experience supporting large organisational change or transformation programs
