Our client is a progressive, customer-centric, and technology-driven provider of electrical and communications services delivering across the technical, mission critical, commercial and industrial project spaces.
As they continue to grow their presence on large-scale, mission critical construction projects across Melbourne, they are seeking an experienced
Electrical Construction - Performance & Production Manager
to join their team.
This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role for an experienced superintendent, construction manager, or senior supervisor who thrives on turning plans into productive field execution.
What You Will Do
Monitor and manage labour productivity across major construction sites, tracking output against program to identify risks early
Implement strategies to lift labour utilisation and reduce non-productive time
Provide visible, hands-on leadership on site, setting clear standards for supervisors and leading hands
Build a site culture of accountability, safety, and performance
Partner with project leadership, supervisors, and leading hands to resolve productivity barriers and align labour deployment with schedule
Support sequencing, resourcing, and lookahead planning, and contribute to labour forecasting
Escalate delays and progress risks to project and executive leadership through clear, regular reporting
Apply Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement principles to reduce waste and improve workflow
Support the rollout of standardised productivity tracking tools and reporting
What You Will Bring
Proven experience managing labour and productivity within construction, industrial, or a similar project-based environment, at superintendent, construction manager, or senior supervisor level
Robust grasp of construction methodologies, sequencing, and labour-intensive delivery
A confident, hands-on leadership style with a genuine appetite for time on site
Strong analytical skills, able to interpret labour and productivity data to drive decisions
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, building trust and influence with supervisors, leading hands, and senior leadership
Trade or tertiary qualification (e.g. Quantity Surveying), Lean Six Sigma certification, or equivalent demonstrated experience
Current site safety inductions/tickets (e.g. White Card)
Mission critical, data centre, or major industrial construction experience will be advantageous.
