About the Role
An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Contract Administrator to join a government infrastructure team based in Maryborough.
In this role, you will support the delivery of major construction and engineering projects by ensuring contractual obligations are administered fairly, accurately and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and contractual provisions.
Working closely with project stakeholders, contractors and clients, you will play a key role in contract administration activities from tender acceptance through to project completion and final certification.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational contract administration and supervisory services across major and complex construction projects.
Monitor and administer contractual obligations, ensuring all parties comply with contract requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and monitor project progress.
Facilitate and attend site meetings, ensuring outcomes and actions are appropriately documented.
Issue and administer contract variations.
Assess contractual claims and provide recommendations.
Process contractor requests for information and contract-related correspondence.
Support Building Act compliance inspections and maintain accurate project records.
Provide advice and assistance to support dispute resolution processes.
Implement and maintain contract administration policies, procedures and systems.
Complete post-contract performance evaluations and reporting requirements.
Effectively communicate project risks, time, cost and quality issues to stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.
Promote safe work practices and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
Demonstrated experience in contract administration within construction, engineering, infrastructure or government projects.
Sound knowledge of construction contracts, contract management principles and project delivery processes.
Experience managing contract variations, claims and site-based contract administration activities.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to interpret contractual requirements and apply them fairly and consistently.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Current Queensland Driver's Licence.
