As JCGAU continues to expand its project portfolio in New South Wales, we are seeking an experienced
Site Manager
to join our Sydney team and take ownership of day-to-day site delivery on a major commercial project.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of site operations from commencement through to Practical Completion.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives, providing strong site leadership and ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands‐on role suited to a Site Manager who is confident leading subcontractors, coordinating complex construction activities and proactively resolving issues on site.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of day-to-day site operations and construction delivery.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
Manage construction sequencing, logistics, access, deliveries and site coordination.
Monitor progress against the approved programme and proactively address delays and constraints.




Lead site coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Monitor workmanship, subcontractor performance and compliance with project requirements.
Implement and maintain site safety systems, including SWMS, toolbox talks, inspections and corrective actions.
Manage quality inspections, hold points, defects and rectification works.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
Maintain accurate site records, reports, site diaries and progress updates.
Identify and proactively resolve construction, safety, quality and coordination issues.
Maintain a safe, clean, organised and professional construction site.
About You
We are looking for an experienced construction professional who can lead from the front, take ownership and drive successful site outcomes.
You will have:
5+ years' experience
in a Site Manager role within commercial construction.
Proven experience delivering projects valued between
$5M and $30M
.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and site coordination.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage subcontractors effectively.
Strong understanding of
NSW WHS requirements




and construction compliance.
Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
A proactive and organised approach to construction management.
High standards of workmanship, quality and attention to detail.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Current White Card.
Full Australian working rights.
