Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most.
It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery.
While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an key system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrative Assistant to support our work in delivering professional learning and events to Western Australian public-school staff.
This diverse role provides administrative support to our team of consultants delivering the Graduate Teacher Induction Program.
The work includes providing operational requirements of event organisation, including managing registrations and attendance, arranging venue hire and catering and liaising with internal and external providers to ensure successful event delivery.
The role also includes purchasing and procurement, processing accounts for payment, monitoring expenditure, maintaining stock levels, and managing electronic records and information.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in word processing, spreadsheets and data management, are essential to support the effective operation of the work unit.
As a key point of contact for stakeholders and clients, the successful applicant will manage communications through shared inboxes and department systems, providing responsive, customer-focused support and building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The role requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and customer service.
The successful applicant will contribute to the successful coordination and delivery of services while supporting team priorities in a busy and fast-paced environment.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
