Senior Workday Financials Support Consultant
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Support Consultant to provide L2/L3 production support across the Workday Financial Management platform.
The consultant will act as the functional lead for Financial Accounting, Banking & Settlement, Customer Accounts, Projects, Assets, Grants and Financial Reporting, ensuring stable operations, issue resolution, enhancement support and continuous improvement.
The role requires strong business process knowledge, production support experience and the ability to work directly with Finance teams and technical teams to resolve incidents and implement enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Ledger Accounts, Revenue Categories and Spend Categories
Support journals and accounting adjustments
Troubleshoot accounting posting issues
Support allocations and settlements
Resolve close-related issues.
Banking & Settlement
Support bank accounts and banking setup
Investigate reconciliation exceptions
Support positive pay and payment file issues
Coordinate with banking providers.
Customer Accounts & Revenue
Support customer invoices and adjustments
Resolve customer accounting issues
Support revenue recognition processes
Support collections and aging activities.
Projects & Grants
Support project setup and maintenance
Support project costing
Support grant management
Support award administration
Troubleshoot project accounting issues




Support project reporting and allocations.
Business Assets
Support asset acquisition and capitalization
Support asset transfers and retirements
Perform asset reconciliation activities.
Reporting & Compliance
Manage custom reports and dashboards
Assist with month-end activities
Perform reconciliations
Support regulatory reporting requirements
Security
User provisioning
Role assignments
Domain security maintenance
Security policy changes
Segregation of Duties reviews
Periodic access reviews
New security design/change requests
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years Workday Financials experience
Strong experience supporting:
Banking & Settlement
Customer Accounts
Projects
Assets
Grants
Experience with:
Workday FDM
Accounting Center concepts
EIB processing
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience in production support environments
Preferred Qualifications
Utilities industry experience
Workday Financials certification
Multi-company environments
Month-end close support
Audit and compliance support
