Future Generation Joint Venture
brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct
Snowy 2.0
.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide basic to advanced desktop side troubleshooting, maintenance and IT support to our end users, both locally and remotely.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or Telecommunications or related discipline
Industry based Certifications and/or formal training such as: MCSA/MCSE/CCNA /ITIL or other related courses
White Card
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience supporting an IT environment with over 60 computers.
Providing support to multiple sites
Experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN, Wireless Networks
Familiar with General Operating Systems, Enterprise Programming languages and office software
Working knowledge of Back up and Virtualisation
Strong understanding of IT Principals
Sound understanding of application life cycle and operating systems
Strong understanding of Network Infrastructure and related topology
Understanding of IT security
Language:



fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantage

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Assist IT Network Supervisor in fulfilling sites IT needs
Troubleshooting all FGJV personnel IT matters
Excellent PC/laptop troubleshooting skills (both software and hardware);
Set up computer, printer, email, mobile device for end users.
Configure SOHO router, WIFI AP, patch network cable, understanding the meaning of Cisco switches' LED lights.
Ability to train staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
Ability to check Security software and regular update and patch management,
IT assets management
Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues
Weekly Reporting to IT Manager and Head of ICT
