About the Role
We are seeking a Solicitor to join our Recovery and Insolvency team
at Summer Lawyers in our Sydney CBD office.
This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities include:
Providing specialist legal advice and expertise in banking, finance and commercial litigation.
Managing the day-to-day conduct of multiple files and workloads
Drafting documentation relevant to banking, finance and insolvency matters
Attending court appearances and instructing counsel in all Courts and jurisdictions
Drafting Court documents including briefs to counsel, pleadings, affidavits, and applications
Conducting legal research and providing advice on mortgage law and regulatory requirements
Advising clients regularly on the status of their matters and recommending strategies
Identifying,



developing and implementing practical solutions to complex legal transactions and litigation to achieve client objectives
Assisting on mortgagee in possession sales
What We're Looking For
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and admission to practice law in Australia
0 to 2 years post qualification experience, preferably in banking and finance and, or disputes generally
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
A proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated experience in ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
A keen interest in the banking and finance sector and the ability to manage a busy and challenging workload.
