About the Role
QT Newcastle is looking for a Director of Sales who doesn't just chase revenue they create the buzz that drives it.
Leading our social strategy, you'll turn our F&B; outlets into the go to place to hold an event, while maintaining key relationships with our corporate accounts.
If you love bringing an event to life and delivering a guest experience that they never forget, then this is the role for you.
What You'll Bring
2-3 years in a senior sales role within hotels or event companies, with an understanding of the Newcastle market.
Proven leadership experience managing and motivating a small team with a focus on coaching and development.




Strong track record in delivering results through strategic planning and achieving ambitious revenue goals.
Demonstrated ability to manage corporate and social accounts, ensuring growth and retention.
Expertise in planning and organising resources to meet deadlines and optimise performance in a quick-paced environment.
Commercial acumen with the ability to identify new business opportunities, manage risk, and maximise profitability.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders, negotiate outcomes, and gain buy-in.
Solid experience driving social events into hotels and dynamic in selling the restaurant and rooftop spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives market share growth and commercial outcomes, ensuring all activity is accurately recorded in the CRM.
Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team, keeping them informed on goals, performance, and celebrating successes.
Manage tactical sales plans to maximise revenue, anticipating business peaks and troughs with a strong focus on rate and occupancy.
Collaborate with marketing, loyalty, and digital teams to identify new revenue opportunities and innovative packages.
Influence stakeholders and resolve challenges through persuasive communication, negotiation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
