About The Role
As Registered Nurse in the Calvary Drug and Alcohol Centre you will provide clinical care and support to clients undergoing alcohol and other drug withdrawal treatment.
The role focuses on safe withdrawal management, health assessment, monitoring, care planning, and supporting clients through recovery while working within a multidisciplinary team.
Your main duties will include:
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for clients entering withdrawal support programs.
Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using evidence-based assessment tools and clinical protocols.
Identify and respond to deterioration, medical complications, and emergency situations.
We welcome applicants with a strong interest in supporting people experiencing substance use concerns and are committed to helping staff develop their skills and expertise in this area.
We also offer the opportunity for further study, including support to undertake a Graduate Certificate in the specialty.
We have a rotating roster and are happy to support fulltime,
part-time and casual positions.
About You
Current AHPRA Registration
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in clinical setting
Willingness to increase your knowledge of the Drug and Alcohol sector
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to supporting individuals on a recovery journey
