The Network are seeking an experienced
Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
to join a Federal Government setting and support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise technology infrastructure.
This is a hands-on technical role covering
cloud, virtualisation, infrastructure automation, IaC, cybersecurity, monitoring and DevOps
.
12 month contract + extension options
Must be Canberra based and hold minimum NV1 security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Provision, configure, maintain and optimise physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
Manage cloud and hybrid/multi-cloud environments and support infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
Develop automation using
scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and orchestration tools
.
Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability and security.
Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and security-related issues.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security and development/DevOps teams.
Support containerisation and modern application deployment practices.
Drive automation, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.




Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders.
Key Criteria
Cloud & Infrastructure:
Strong experience managing and optimising enterprise infrastructure across physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid environments.
Automation & IaC:
Demonstrated experience with scripting, Infrastructure as Code, orchestration and automation technologies.
Technical Problem Solving:
Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure and security issues, drive continuous improvement and provide technical advice to stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
Experience with
Azure/AWS, Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools and enterprise infrastructure platforms
will be highly regarded.
Federal Government experience is highly desirable.
