About Mutinex
Mutinex is an AI-powered growth platform used by
100+ global brands
.
Our measurement technology has processed over
$9B
in media spend and consistently outperforms legacy approaches.
We've spent years solving one of marketing's hardest problems: knowing what actually works.
Now we're building the connected product experience that helps customers move from measurement to planning and execution.
The role
You'll own a product area within Mutinex and be accountable for its success — not just for maintaining a roadmap or moving tickets through delivery.
You'll build a deep understanding of customers, the market, our technology, and the commercial context.
You'll use that understanding to identify the right problems, set direction, make clear tradeoffs, and work closely with design, engineering, and data science to ship products that customers value.
This role suits someone who is comfortable operating across the full product lifecycle: discovery, strategy, prioritisation, delivery, launch, measurement, and iteration.
You don't need to be an engineer or data scientist, but you do need enough technical and analytical depth to work credibly with both disciplines, understand feasibility and uncertainty, and make good product decisions in a data-intensive environment.
Location: Sydney/Melbourne (hybrid - 3 days in office)
Level: Product Manager – Senior Product Manager
Reports to: CPO
What You'll Do
Own product outcomes.
Take accountability for a product area from strategy and discovery through delivery, adoption, and ongoing performance.
Develop product direction.
Turn customer needs, market context, company strategy, and technical possibilities into a clear vision and roadmap.
Lead discovery.
Work directly with customers and internal teams to understand problems, test assumptions, evaluate evidence, and reduce value, usability, feasibility, and viability risk before committing to build.
Prioritise and make tradeoffs.
Decide what matters now, what can wait, and where the team's time will create the greatest customer and business value.
Partner deeply with engineering and data science.
Shape solutions together, bring technical and modelling considerations into discovery early,
and navigate the uncertainty involved in software and probabilistic products.
Drive effective delivery.
Break ambiguous problems into clear, valuable increments; maintain momentum; manage risks and dependencies; and help the team ship high-quality work.
Define and measure success.
Set clear outcomes and success metrics, ensure products are instrumented, and use quantitative and qualitative evidence to guide iteration.
Stay close to customers.
Build a regular rhythm of customer contact and bring those insights into product decisions.
Lead cross-functionally.
Create alignment across design, engineering, data science, sales, customer success, marketing, and leadership without relying on formal authority.
Communicate clearly.
Make product direction, decisions, progress, risks, and tradeoffs legible to the team and the wider business.
What We're Looking For
You've owned and delivered meaningful products, ideally in a B2B SaaS, data-intensive, AI, analytics, platform, or technical environment.
You have worked closely with engineers and data scientists or other highly technical specialists, and you know how to turn complex capabilities into products that solve real customer problems.
Beyond Experience, We Care About How You Operate
You take complete ownership.
You don't stop at writing requirements.
You stay accountable through discovery, build, launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
You have strong product judgement.
You can distinguish an engaging idea from an important problem and make sound decisions with imperfect information.
You're technically and analytically fluent.
You can engage in conversations about APIs, data flows, system constraints, model behaviour, metrics, and tradeoffs — and ask the questions that improve the product decision.
You understand data and AI products.
You're comfortable with probabilistic outputs, uncertain delivery paths, model evaluation,
and the difference between research progress and a production‐ready customer experience.
You're strong at discovery.
You can interview customers, prototype, design experiments, evaluate evidence, and identify what must be true for an idea to succeed.
You're ruthless about scope.
You can find the smallest useful version, say "not now" with clear reasoning, and favour learning and outcomes over output.
You work well across disciplines.
You bring product, design, engineering, and data science together around a shared understanding of the problem and the outcome.
You communicate with clarity.
You can create a compelling narrative, write well, and make complex product and technical decisions understandable.
You understand the commercial context.
You consider customer value, pricing, margins, go-to-market realities, and business viability alongside user experience and technical feasibility.
You use AI as a power tool.
You use it to accelerate research, prototyping, analysis, writing, and validation before asking the wider team to invest.
About The Team
We're around 80 people, and the product team is intentionally small.
Product Managers here own meaningful problem spaces rather than narrow feature sets.
You'll work directly with engineering, design, data science, and customer-facing teams — there's no layer of product operations or project management between you and the problem.
We expect Product Managers to provide strong product direction while partnering with technical leaders and people leaders to help the team do its best work.
The bigger picture
This isn't a role where the product is already figured out and you're only optimising conversion rates.
We're building genuinely new technology in a complex category, and many of the most valuable problems don't arrive with an obvious solution.
You'll help shape how our products connect measurement, planning, and execution — and how complex data science and engineering capabilities become simple, trusted customer experiences.
We care more about how you think, what you've owned, and how you work with others than where you've worked.
If you're excited by hard product problems and ready to drive them from ambiguity to impact, we should talk.
