As an Education Support Officer within Macquarie Business School, you will be a trusted point of contact for academic staff, helping to bring courses to life across their full lifecycle.
Working as part of a welcoming Educational Services team, you will provide integrated advice and coordination that keeps course delivery running smoothly, from annual planning and assessment preparation through to result ratification and student enquiries.

About the Role
Reporting to the Course/Education Support Team Leader within Macquarie Business School, you will provide operational and administrative support that enhances the quality of course delivery and the student experience.
Depending on the Business School's needs, you may support a single course, a collection of courses, or a department.
Providing advice and support to Course Directors, Discipline Chairs, Heads of School or Department and Unit Convenors on all matters related to the delivery and administration of courses and units.
Coordinating operational and administrative support across the lifecycle of a course to enhance delivery and the student experience.
Contributing to and coordinating annual planning, communication of key milestones, and the development of resources such as Study Plans and Course Guides.
Coordinating the preparation and delivery of assessments, along with moderation, result ratification, and grade administration.
Delivering course-specific orientation and onboarding activities in partnership with the Faculty Student Experience team.
Providing administrative and secretarial support for course‐specific meetings, including industry advisory boards, and progressing actions arising.
Advising timetabling teams to coordinate class registration and management, with a focus on course‐level timetabling.
Acting as a liaison point for teaching staff, including coordinating guest lecturers, external experts and sessional staff.
Partnering across the University to identify and implement improvements to student administration processes, and to help resolve complex student lifecycle enquiries and cases.

About You

You enjoy building effective working relationships across teams and helping to improve the way things are done.
Selection Criteria
A degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
Knowledge of tertiary education policies, processes, and course and unit governance structures.
Experience providing advice and operational support relating to policies, course delivery and/or complex student services, preferably within a higher education environment.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with academic staff, committees and other stakeholders.
Experience developing annual planning documentation and project plans, providing high‐quality administrative support, and using Microsoft Office and database management systems.
Strong organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to coordinate competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience analysing data and proactively developing and implementing administrative process improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft papers, submissions and other professional documentation.
Note: The successful candidate will be required to complete a police check prior to commencement.
