Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Trainee Materials Officer based in Warwick, QLD.
This is a 6-month contract (with extension potential), with an immediate start.
About the role: Perform materials testing under supervision – soil, aggregate, concrete, bitumen and asphalt Assist with data analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround Travel with experienced staff on regional field investigations and site sampling Work both indoor and outdoor, including physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 25kg, shovelling, uneven terrain) Occasional isolated locations with limited mobile coverage for up to 5 days – all travel costs covered Preferred Requirements: Current Class C driver's licence Physically able to perform manual handling, lifting and extended standing/walking Sound numeracy and basic computer skills Comfortable with regional travel and time away from home base Preferred Qualifications: No formal qualifications required – training provided Prior lab, trades, civil or construction exposure highly regarded but not essential If you're open to contract work, apply now or reach out for a confidential chat.
