THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager Intelligence Capability, Child Exploitation (CE) Response team (CERT), you will be part of a small specialist team responsible for the delivery of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing's strategy for responding to child sexual and criminal exploitation (CCE).
This includes supporting the development of an intelligence function to detect and share information with Victoria Police to respond to child sexual exploitation.
The role supports the work of CERT with primary responsibilities relating to:
* Assisting the implementation of the team's Strategic Plan to enhance joint responses to child sexual exploitation which involves leading and supporting multi-disciplinary projects, data analysis and reporting, and providing strategic advice to the Director
* Providing authoritative strategic advice to relevant senior managers and units within operational and policy areas on the results of intelligence gathering, including identification of trends and emerging issues
* Providing a high level of service, expertise, training support and advice for service-wide responses to CSE and CCE in particular relating to behavioural analysis, risk assessment, management and effective disruption.
The role operates within a agile environment that requires flexibility, the capacity to exercise sound judgement and the ability to take effective, timely action.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE




* Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports through detailed data analysis and investigation, identifying trends, risks and issues relating to targeting child sexual exploitation.
* Provide expert advice on the quality, accuracy, and relevance of data, and on appropriate interpretation of data and results.
* Use and analyse a range of datasets to monitor, review and understand the performance of operational models designed to disrupt and reduce CSE and CCE.
