Lead Domain Architect (Data) Lead Domain Architect (Data) | EL2 Equivalent 12 Month Contract + 12 Month Extension Option Locations: ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD or SA | Hybrid Working Arrangement We are seeking an experienced Lead Domain Architect (Data) to provide strategic architectural leadership across a large and complex enterprise setting.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior architecture professional to shape data strategy, define future-state architecture, and influence major technology investment decisions across enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
This role operates at an EL2 equivalent level , providing high-level architectural guidance to senior stakeholders, governance forums, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
About the Role As the Lead Domain Architect (Data), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining domain architecture, target state roadmaps, and strategic technology direction.
You will work across multiple programs and projects, ensuring data solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, organisational objectives, security standards, and business priorities.
You will provide authoritative advice on complex architectural challenges, identify opportunities for innovation and reuse, and help drive informed decision-making across a large-scale technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain domain architecture, future state designs, and strategic roadmaps Provide expert architectural leadership across major programs, projects, and initiatives Ensure alignment between solution architecture, enterprise standards, security requirements, and business objectives Lead the analysis of complex business and technology challenges and develop strategic recommendations Establish and maintain architecture principles, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks Review and assure solution designs, identifying risks, dependencies, gaps, and opportunities Collaborate closely with enterprise architects,



solution architects, security specialists, data leaders, and delivery teams Influence technology investment and prioritisation decisions through strategic architectural advice Represent the domain at architecture review boards and governance forums Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on organisational capabilities Resolve complex architectural issues involving competing priorities, costs, risks, and delivery timeframes Mentor architects and technical specialists to strengthen organisational architecture capability Essential Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Minimum 8+ years' experience designing and delivering complex enterprise data solutions and initiatives At least 3 years operating in a Principal Architect, Lead Architect, EL2-equivalent, or similar senior architecture role Strong capability translating business strategy and organisational goals into practical architecture outcomes Extensive experience developing architecture frameworks, governance models, standards, patterns, and best practices Proven ability to analyse complex architectural issues and provide evidence-based recommendations to senior executives Deep understanding of: Enterprise data architecture Data management frameworks Master Data Management (MDM) Reference Data Management (RDM) Data modelling Data governance Data security and privacy practices Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and technical teams Desirable Experience Highly regarded experience includes:



Previous experience as a Domain Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar within a large and complex organisation TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification Delivery of major cloud transformation programs Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Information Systems, or a related discipline Contract Details Initial 12-month contract 12-month extension option available Hybrid work arrangement Minimum 3 days per week in the office 37.5 hours per week Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide based candidates Requirements Australian Citizenship is mandatory Must hold a Baseline Security Clearance Relevant labour hire licensing requirements may apply depending on state location Apply Now If you are a senior data architecture leader looking to influence enterprise-wide strategy and drive large-scale transformation initiatives, we would love to hear from you.
