We are seeking a passionate and skilled Case Manager to join our Safe Start team, working intensively with families during the First **** Days of a child's life.

Who we are looking for As a Safe Start Case Manager, you will play a vital role in reducing infant removals and strengthening safe, nurturing family environments.
You will work intensively with families experiencing complex challenges, using a therapeutic, strengths-based approach to support positive outcomes for infants and their caregivers.
To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, youth work or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience working with infants, children and families impacted by trauma, abuse,



neglect or family violence Strong skills in assessment, case planning and interagency collaboration A commitment to strengths-based, trauma-informed and family-led practice Confidence engaging families who may be hesitant or resistant to support Knowledge of child development, attachment and child protection systems What you will be doing Deliver intensive, therapeutic case management to families with unborn babies and infants Undertake assessment, risk screening, case planning and review Work proactively to engage families, including outreach and home visiting Coordinate multi-agency responses and lead case conferences Support families to address child protection concerns using evidence-based approaches Manage a small, complex caseload (approx. 8–10 families full time) with high support and accountability For more information you can read the full Position Description.
