A large-scale utilities and energy distribution business is looking for a Market Systems Database Developer to join their IT team on a 12-month contract.
This role sits within Market Systems, supporting and enhancing the billing and metering systems that keep day-to-day operations running, while a separate program builds out the future-state platform.
You'll be backfilling a critical technical capability, working across regulatory initiatives, platform enhancements and business-driven projects.
What you'll be doing Design, develop, test and maintain Oracle database and PL/SQL solutions across a complex, high-availability application portfolio Produce and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, deployment guides, operational support docs Troubleshoot, resolve defects and lead root cause analysis on application and database issues Work closely with developers, business analysts and technical analysts through a structured SDLC and design governance process Support environment stability, deployments and vendor release activity What you'll bring Robust Oracle database development experience, including PL/SQL Enterprise application development experience, ideally within complex, mission-critical systems Solid grounding in structured SDLC delivery, coding standards, code review, testing,
