About the role This is an exciting chance for an accomplished event leader to strategically manage the Santos Tour Down Under, a world-class event that generates tourism activity, creates business opportunities and enhances the South Australian brand interstate and internationally, creating community spirit and pride and profiling the state to key national and international target markets.
Key responsibilities include: Lead the planning and delivery of the Santos Tour Down Under, in line with strategic requirements ensuring world-class event outcomes and best-practice project management.
Drive event growth and commercial success through strong stakeholder partnerships,



fully explored revenue opportunities, sponsorship integration and maximising tourism opportunities.

Oversee the Festival of Cycling program, including the Tour Village and associated events, to deliver engaging visitor experiences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government, industry, community, commercial and international stakeholders.
Lead and develop high-performing teams, managing employees, contractors and volunteers to achieve exceptional results.
Ensure effective governance through financial management, risk management, contract oversight, reporting and operational compliance.

To be successful, you will bring: Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale events or major projects.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence and develop high-performing teams.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial management and risk management.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
Commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and maximise event outcomes.
A degree in Event Management, Tourism, Business or a related discipline, together with the drive and resilience to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
