The Opportunity
Based at our V&V; Walsh processing facility in Bunbury, this role sits within our Stockyard team, supporting both sheep and beef operations.
You will be responsible for the safe handling, movement, and care of livestock prior to processing, ensuring strong animal welfare outcomes and smooth operational flow to meet production targets.
This is a physical, outdoor role working in a fast-paced meat processing workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Livestock handling – safely moving cattle and sheep through the stockyard
Drafting, cutting out, and yarding livestock
Supporting livestock receival and inductions
Monitoring livestock condition and identifying health concerns
Coordinating livestock flow to support processing operations
Cleaning and maintaining stockyard facilities
Following all animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety procedures
About You
Experience working with livestock (cattle and/or sheep) preferred
Background in stockyards, feedlots, farms, or stations highly regarded
Strong understanding of animal welfare or willingness to learn
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
