Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer
About The Role
We're looking for electrical engineers to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and we need domain experts like you to push these systems to their limits, expose their weaknesses, and help make them smarter. Your engineering knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex technical problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing to power systems. This is a unique opportunity to do meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on your own schedule, entirely remote.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: ***** hours/week
What You'll Do
Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
Build Ground-Truth Solutions — Author detailed, step-by-step technical solutions and "golden responses" that serve as benchmarks for AI learning
Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to standards such as IEEE and NEC
Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors and flawed reasoning in AI outputs, then provide structured feedback to improve how the model approaches engineering problems
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core domains — VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for mathematical and logical accuracy
No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI evaluation workflows
Familiarity with embedded systems, robotics, or engineering simulation tools
Background in technical writing or academic publishing
Why Join Us
Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and teams
Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work at your own pace
Freelance autonomy with the backing of a globally cooperative team
Gain rare, hands-on exposure to how advanced large language models are trained and evaluated
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension based on performance
