Are you an experienced Mining Engineer looking for a senior technical role without having to base yourself permanently on site or in a major capital city?
Vantage Mining Solutions is looking for a Principal Mining Engineer to join our team, based in our Maroochydore office on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
We're looking for an experienced mining professional who can bring together strong technical mine planning capability and practical operational understanding.
You'll work across a range of client projects and operations, with responsibility for areas including:
Mine design, scheduling and optimisation
Life-of-mine planning and strategic studies
Technical reviews and operational improvement
Production forecasting and scenario analysis
Working directly with clients, mine management and technical teams
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You'll be an experienced mining engineer with significant mine planning experience in the Australian mining industry, ideally operating at Senior, Principal or equivalent level.
Just as importantly, you'll be someone who can work autonomously,



take ownership of technical deliverables, communicate confidently with clients and develop solutions that work in an operational environment — not just on paper.
