About the Role
Due to continued growth and ongoing project success, Contract Resources is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our high-performing team based in Jandakot, WA.
Reporting to the Client Manager, you will lead the delivery of a significant long-term decommissioning program for a major operator within the WA Oil & Gas sector. This established project involves executing an ongoing work program and continuing to provide innovative solutions on a project that is one of Contract Resources' key operational and commercial success stories.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of specialised industrial services. Working closely with clients, operational teams, and technical subject matter experts, you will oversee project planning, execution, resource management, commercial performance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure exceptional project outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile portfolio, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of our specialised services capability. The role is primarily based at our Jandakot office, with regular travel to operational sites and the client's CBD office as required.
Duties will include but are not limited to
Lead the end-to-end delivery of project scopes, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable execution
Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and performance to achieve contractual and business objectives
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project delivery matters
Coordinate labour, equipment, subcontractors, and internal resources to meet operational requirements
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE, quality, client, and company requirements
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively managing project challenges and opportunities
Collaborate with operational and technical teams to optimise project delivery and resource utilisation
Oversee project planning, mobilisation, execution, and close-out activities across both ongoing and emergent scopes
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to supervisors and project teams to drive high performance
Ensure contractual obligations and project deliverables are achieved in accordance with agreed milestones and Support tendering, budgeting, and planning activities for future work opportunities expectations
Prepare & present reports, performance metrics, cost forecasts, and updates to internal & external stakeholders
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, project outcomes, and client satisfaction
Requirements & Experience Needed
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Management role within Oil & Gas, industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns, decommissioning, or a related heavy industry environment
Demonstrated success managing complex project scopes with responsibility for safety, delivery, commercial performance, and client outcomes
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, forecasting, and cost control principles
Proven experience managing project budgets and delivering work within agreed timeframes and financial targets
Experience working directly with Tier 1 clients and managing key stakeholder relationships
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives
Sound knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management practices, and quality assurance requirements
Proven leadership experience within safety-focused, high-performance operational environments
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management/reporting systems
Relevant Trade, Engineering, Technical, Construction Management, or Project Management qualification
Experience within shutdown, maintenance, brownfields,
or decommissioning projects will be highly regarded
A proactive and solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical Assessments and Drug & Alcohol testing
Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
Construction White Card (essential)
