The role:
Councilis seeking a suitably experienced and motivated labourer to join our MerriwaParks & Facilities team. This position plays an important role inmaintaining and enhancing Council's parks, open spaces and facilities, helpingto deliver secure, attractive and well-maintained community spaces.
Therole involves a variety of hands‐on outdoor maintenance duties, including butnot limited to:
General parks and facilities maintenance activities
Plant and equipment maintenance and operation
Weed, pest and disease control
Tree planting, maintenance and landscaping activities
Operating and maintaining watering systems, while working alongside an experienced team to deliver visible outcomes for the community
Wewelcome motivated individuals, including recent school leavers with somelabouring experience, who are willing to learn and build a career in civilconstruction. Training and development will be provided to suitable applicants.
What's on offer:
A salary range from $******* – $******* per week (based on relevant skills and experience) + 12% superannuation + allowances
A true 38 hour working week, Monday – Friday working week with the opportunity for overtime if desired
Fortnightly Rostered Day Off (working a 9-day fortnight)
Four weeks of Annual Leave per year

What we need from you:
A class C driver'slicence
A positive attitude andstrong work ethic
Willingness to workoutdoors in a practical hands‐on role
Previous experience in parksand facilities or a similar labouring role will be highly regarded.
A current White Card orwillingness to obtain
A CertificateIII in Civil Construction or willingness to obtain.
A current MR licenceand traffic control tickets are desirable, as is experience operating lightplant and machinery.
