Position Details
Part Time (0.8FTE) Permanent Position with increased hours when required
Classification: SCHADS Level 5 with a salary range of $105,676 - $******* per annum pro rata + Superannuation

Location: Main office: Burswood, WA - Joondalup and Rockingham if required
About your new role
Perth Universal Aftercare provides compassionate, holistic psychosocial support to people who have experienced a suicidal crisis or attempt. In Universal Aftercare the team of Clinicians, Community Care Coordinators and Community Care Coordinators-Lived Experience in the program provide empathy and non-judgemental connection during this difficult time to people and their families and carers. Universal Aftercare is delivered in the form of assertive outreach in the community for a period of up to three months. People accessing the program receive individually tailored support to people to connect them to both clinical and community-based services to meet their needs, while also enhancing connection to supportive local networks such as family, friends, peers and carers. Team Leader (TL) works inclose partnership with Service leaders to provide leadership, practice development and coaching sessions to service delivery staff. The TL ensures high standards of consumer support, file management, documentation, and record-keeping.



TLs provides staff line management, monitor service delivery and contribute to program planning and reporting. This position works with the Service Manager and other leaders to establish and maintain strong working partnerships with partner organisations. TLs will aid the delivery of the best possible comprehensive service to consumers by supporting and building capacity of the program workforce and providing direct support to consumers as required.
What you will bring to the role
Formal tertiary qualification in a related field and/or equivalent experience working in a relevant setting.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and empower team members.
Strong capacity to engage effectively when working with discomfort, distress and people experiencing crisis.
Ability to self-reflect, take on feedback to grow practice skills and engage in personal and professional development.
Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
Ability to establish professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations.
Ability to read and interpret consumer data reports and translate learnings into practice.
Strong computer literacy and written communication skills.




Previous leadership experience in a relevant leadership position.
A valid Working with Children Check.
A Current Australian Drivers Licence
