About the role:
Based at our busy Yallourn and/or Morwell Campuses, an exciting opportunity is available for a Canteen Attendant to join the TAFE Gippsland team in a casual capacity.
As a Canteen Attendant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for our staff and students. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of hot and cold food and beverages, providing friendly and effective customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment.
You will follow established food safety and hygiene procedures while delivering a high level of customer service and contributing to a positive, customer-focused canteen environment.
Qualifications and experience:
Safe Food Handling certificate & a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety and safe food handling practices
Cookery and food preparation skills (desirable)
Cash handling experience
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work as part of a cohesive team in a busy environment
Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to learn with a can-do attitude
Mandatory requirements
Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
Current Driver's License (some travel between campuses is a requirement of the role)
