THE OPPORTUNITY
n
The AFL Rehabilitation Physiotherapistis responsible forleading the rehabilitation of injured athletes within our AFL Men's Football Program. Working as part of an integratedhigh-performanceteamtodesign and deliverevidence-basedrehabilitation programs, guiding athletes from injury through to successful returntocompetition. Combining clinicalexpertise, rehabilitation leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration, the position plays a key role in optimising athlete health,availabilityand performance.

Key responsibilitiesinclude:
n
n
Align with the Sydney Swans rehabilitation philosophy and contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to athlete care.
n
Lead the planning,coordinationand progression of individual rehabilitation programs in collaboration with the Head Physiotherapist,
ClubDoctorand Head of Athletic Performance, providing regular updates on progress, availability and return to play planning.
n
Partner with the Rehabilitation Strength & Conditioning Coach to deliver all aspects of rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment, strength development, runningprogressionandconditioning.
n
Monitor, analyse and report rehabilitation data to guide prognosis, progression, functional milestone achievement and returntoperformance outcomes.
n
Build solid relationships with athletes and key stakeholders to support effective communication and shared decisionmaking throughout the rehabilitation process.
n
Attend all scheduled training sessions, including weekend rehabilitation sessions
n
Maintainaccurate,timelyand comprehensive clinical records and rehabilitation documentation.
n

WHAT WE'R LOOKING FOR
n
n
Master'sdegree in Sports PhysiotherapyandcurrentAHPRA registrationrequired
n
5+ years' experience working inhigh performancesport
n
Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and navigate complex and high-pressure sporting environments.
n
High levelsof data competency, including using Athlete Management Solutions, Microsoft Excel,PowerPointandPowerBI
n
Experience working with GPS and strength diagnostic technologies
n
n
Due to the nature of the industry, the ideal candidate must be flexible in their availability as extendedhoursand weekend work will berequiredfor this role.
n
