About The Opportunity
Join our team in Mt Thorley as a Product Health Specialist! Based at our Mt Thorley Branch, this role offers a full-time Monday-Friday roster, including a fully maintained benefit vehicle.
Reporting to the Product Health Manager, you'll specialise in Hydraulic Mining Shovels and Large Wheel Loaders, providing technical expertise to support fleet performance and reliability. Working closely with internal stakeholders, Caterpillar technical teams, Site Performance Specialists, and frontline teams, you'll build strong relationships, provide guidance on technical issues, and leverage Condition Monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve equipment concerns.
You'll play a key role in developing and implementing fleet performance improvement initiatives that reduce customers' Total Cost of Ownership. This includes taking ownership of complex technical issue resolution, leading Continuous Improvement projects, and developing Component and Machine Life Cycle Cost strategies to maximise equipment performance, availability, and value.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert technical advice and guidance to support equipment reliability, performance, and issue resolution
Analyse condition monitoring data, oil sample results, machine inspections, operating conditions, and repair history to identify improvement opportunities and optimise equipment performance
Lead the investigation and resolution of complex equipment and product issues, working closely with manufacturers, technical specialists,



and customers to deliver timely outcomes
Develop and implement component and machine lifecycle strategies that improve fleet performance, reduce maintenance costs, and lower customers' total cost of ownership
Support the introduction of new products and technologies, while coordinating complex projects across multiple stakeholders to achieve successful operational outcomes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, performance, and customer value through collaboration with key stakeholders
Skills And Experience
Mechanical Trade / Post Trade CAT dealer experience desirable
High level of customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, engage stakeholders, and drive effective outcomes
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with using and implementing Mining Equipment Management principles
Intermediate computer literacy skills – MS Office, email, Internet based applications and mobile devices
Knowledge and experience of CAT Diagnostic tools and CAT Information systems is highly desirable
