Fixed-term, Part-time (February **** to September****)
The Geelong College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 1stNetball Coach to lead our premier girls' netball program for the**** APS season.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experiencedcoach to develop talented student-athletes, foster a positive andhigh-performing team fulture, and contribute to a competitive APSnetball program.
Working closely with the Director of Sport, Director of Netball,Teacher in Charge of Netball and Strength & Conditioning staff, the1st Netball Coach will lead the coaching and support staff involvedin the 1st Netball program and play a key role in the technical,tactical and personal development of students.
This role includes coordinating pre-season training and practicematches from Term 1, ****, with the APS season running from Term 2through to the end of Term 3. The successful applicant will berequired to attend and/or coordinate two 1st Netball trainingsessions per week during the season, as well as Saturday APSmatches.
The successful applicant will also contribute to the broaderdevelopment of the College's netball program,
including supportingthe growth pathway of Junior and Intermediate teams and providingcoaching development opportunities for coaching and supportstaff.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should demonstrate:
Elite coaching and/or high-level playing experience innetball.
Development Coaching Accreditation (or higher).
Previous experience coaching children and/oradolescents.
Experience leading and developing coaching and supportstaff.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisationalskills.
A team-oriented approach and commitment to developing youngathletes.
The ability to foster a positive, inclusive andhigh-performing team environment.
The ability to develop and implement effective game plans,strategies and training programs.
Essential Compliance Requirements
Current Working with Children Check (Employee status) orVIT Registration, or ability to obtain
Completion of College anaphylaxis training (or accreditedequivalent)
Current First Aid (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID009) and AsthmaManagement certification
Completion of the Protecting Children – MandatoryReporting and other Obligations module (VictorianDepartment of Education and Training)
Provide Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
Victorian Driver's Licence
