The SCC Group is looking for a confident, driven and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our Adelaide team and play a key role in growing our client base.
We want someone who loves the chase. Your primary focus will be simple: get SCC in front of more businesses, create genuine opportunities and turn conversations into clients.
What you'll be doing:
Actively prospecting for new business across Adelaide and South Australia
Getting out on the road and directly approaching prospective clients
Door knocking and introducing SCC to businesses and potential decision‐makers
Identifying new markets, businesses and sales opportunities
Cold calling and following up prospective clients
Booking and attending face‐to‐face meetings
Building strong relationships with key decision‐makers
Developing a healthy and consistent new‐business pipeline
Following up leads and maintaining momentum with prospective clients
Conducting site visits and understanding prospective client requirements
Working closely with our operational and management teams to progress qualified opportunities
Maintaining accurate records of leads, opportunities and sales activity
Ultimately converting relationships and opportunities into current SCC clients
Who we're looking for:
Have plenty of energy and aren't afraid to back yourself
Can confidently walk into a business you've never visited before and introduce yourself
Actually enjoy meeting new people
Have a competitive streak and enjoy chasing a target
Get a buzz from landing a meeting or winning a new client
Don't take rejection personally
Are persistent without being pushy
Can hold a conversation with just about anyone
Are proactive and don't wait for leads to land in your inbox
Can work independently without someone constantly checking what you're doing
Would choose being on the road over sitting at the same desk five days a week
Are organised and disciplined when it comes to following up opportunities
Want a role where strong performance is recognised and rewarded
You'll also need a current driver's licence and be comfortable spending a significant portion of your working week on the road.
