What does the job look like?
Linfox Intermodal have an opportunity for a Transport Manager to support freight operations for a major customer based out of Gillman, South Australia. In your new role, you'll take ownership in delivering safe, compliant and cost-effective freight solutions for one of Australia's largest brands. You will lead subcontractor linehaul operations, coordinating final-mile store deliveries, maintaining strong customer relationships and driving operational performance across a high profile customer.
This is a full‐time opportunity, working Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30am. Key areas:
Lead daily transport planning and freight dispatch activities across the Intermodal network
Coordinate subcontractor and driver resources to ensure service commitments are achieved safely and efficiently
Deliver final-mile transport solutions across a multi‐site retail distribution network. Based on user‐provided Job Brief Summary.
Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and key internal stakeholders to support operational excellence
Monitor operational performance, profitability and cost outcomes against contractual requirements
Champion safety, fatigue management and compliance standards across all transport activities. Based on user‐provided Job Brief Summary and Safety Focus section
Are you the one?
You are an experienced transport or logistics leader with a strong background managing linehaul operations, subcontractor networks and customer‐focused transport services. You enjoy solving problems, working autonomously, analysing costs and leveraging systems to optimise operational performance. You can demonstrate:
2-3 years of experience managing linehaul transport operations within the Logistics/Transport industry
Proven leadership capability across transport, warehouse or operational teams
Strong understanding of transport safety, fatigue management and compliance requirements
Experience managing subcontractor and carrier relationships
You're tech savvy and have experience working with Transport Management Systems
