About the Role
n
The Royal MelbourneHospital Mental Health Services Engage program was established in **** and aimsto ensure that people who attend the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) EmergencyDepartment (ED) in a vulnerable mental state have effective mental health followup, regardless of the presenting problem or their residentiallocation.
n
You will provide high-levelclinical assessment, treatment and targeted brief interventions forconsumers with complex mental health needs, working collaboratively withconsumers, families and carers to support recovery and ongoing care.
n
Working alongside ahighly committed Post Discharge team, you'll have opportunities to developyour clinical expertise and career, with training, education and CPDsupported by the RMH. Enjoy a Monday to Friday roster with balanced Saturdaycoverage, providing flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Accountabilities
n

Providea high level of clinical expertise in the assessment, treatment anddelivery of targeted brief interventions to consumers with complex mentalhealth related needs, where possible including family and carers indecisions
n
Abilityto problem solve in a complex and changing environment.
n
Developeffective relationships with referrers and community public mental healthservices.
n
Workindependently within a multidisciplinary team to support an efficient,effective and equitable response to referrals.

About You
n
n
CurrentAHPRA registration relevant to the position.
n
Strongclinical skills in mental health assessment, treatment and briefinterventions.
n
Abilityto work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
Strongclinical reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
n
Person-centredapproach, with the ability to involve consumers,
families and carers incare decisions.
