At Lovisa, we're all about being first to market. As our Product Development Lead, you'll play a key role in bringing innovative, trend-led products and packaging to life, from the initial concept through to development and prototype approval.

About the role:
n
n
Develop innovative new products and packaging that keep Lovisa ahead of the market and continually evolve our product offering.
n
Lead trend-inspired design direction and multi-category product development aligned to the Lovisa handwriting and our customer.
n
Research global, high-street and designer trends to identify emerging colours, materials, components and jewellery trends.
n
Develop research packs, mood boards and trend reports to influence upcoming ranges.
n
Prepare detailed technical specifications using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
n
Work closely with the Buying Team to understand upcoming product and packaging requirements.
n
Partner with our global supplier base throughout the product development process.
n
Collaborate with our in-house Graphic Design Team on packaging requirements and ensure critical path deadlines are met.
n
Work with suppliers to maintain consistency across plating and component quality.
n
Obtain compliance and testing information for new product innovations outside of the current Lovisa compliance manual.
n
Present ideas, concepts and trend insights to the wider Product Team and Chief Product Officer.

About you:
n
We're looking for someone who is creative, commercially driven and highly trend aware, with the ability to move quickly in a fast‐paced product environment.
n
n
Experience in product development, product design, jewellery, fashion or a similar industry.
n




A strong understanding of seasonal and ongoing trend analysis, including colours, materials and jewellery trends.
n
A highly developed commercial eye and understanding of customer needs.
n
StrongCAD, Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
n
The ability to translate trends into cohesive product stories and ranges.
n
Experience working with suppliers and managing product development from concept through to delivery.
n
A strong understanding of critical paths, deadlines and speed to market.
n
The ability to react quickly to emerging market and sales trends.
n
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
The ability to work autonomously, anticipate what's required and use initiative.
n
