About us
The Wish Group is an organisation that specialises in providing specialist care in a wide variety of settings.
We have been in operation for 30 years. We are a small but experienced team that look after staff as well as we look after our clients. We provide excellent support to our staff.
The Wish Group (TWG) is currently recruiting for some exciting bespoke work opportunities working in the student accommodation sector.
Whilst not traditional roles associated with either the health or education sector you will bring to the job your experience in problem solving, incident management and a qualified and caring attitude towards helping people.
The successful candidates will be mature and have a proven ability to work well with others in a team environment but can also manage their work autonomously as needed. They will have experience in problem solving, incident management, supporting people with mental health challenges and working with diverse populations.
The role requires you to work as part of a team and be proactive with your engagement across campus. Be involved in events, reach out to students and actively monitor their safety and wellness. You will spend your shifts moving around the accommodations, talking with students and supporting social events.
You will respond to,
or raise incidents as required and work with other staff to ensure safety of all concerned. You will also be provided with senior on call resources to support you in your role.

Clayton
Shift times are 7 days per week Currently we have a requirement for people that can work overnight shifts across the week.
There may be a requirement at times to work PM or day shift. Applicants must have flexibility across shifts.
Duties include:
Proactive engagement with students
Incident management and reporting
Work alongside other team member to ensure the safety and general wellbeing of the students
Provide comprehensive handovers to incoming staff
First point of contact for students and residential advisors overnight and on weekends
Current First Aid Certificate
Current National Police Check
Mental Health First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain – can be supported by TWG to undertake training)
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Experience in risk management / problem solving
Superior decision-making and documentation skills
Experience working with people with mental health challenges
Excellent communication and engagement skills
Comfortable with IT
Ability to work weekends, public holiday and rotating roster.
Other Desirable Criteria:
Nursing, allied health or education experience are highly desirable
