The part you will play
As part of the Economic Development Department, you will work closely with the internal stakeholders, businesses and Government.
Designing and implementing industry growth and development initiatives for priority sectors, in line with the Economic Growth Strategy.
Proactively establishing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with a wide range of key stakeholders, including but not limited to, government agencies, educational institutions, businesses, and key industry groups.
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders on projects and advocacy efforts which encourage and support investment, growth and development in priority sectors.
Monitoring industry trends and identifying areas of competitive strength, growth potential and investment opportunities for priority sectors in the City of Whittlesea.
Let's talk about you
You will thrive in this role if you enjoy engaging with people and have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in, business or equivalent and several years' relevant experience within priority sectors, such as manufacturing and food-related sectors
Thorough understanding of economic development in interface and/or urban contexts, and of emerging trends
Sound project management experience
Sound understanding of political and economic influences relevant to industry
Experience in conducting research and analysing data and using research outcomes to develop relevant business development programs

The remuneration package is $110,873 + Super + Flexible Working
This is a full-time, fixed term role and provides a monthly or fortnightly RDO for full-time staff – your choice!
