Job Description
Are you an experienced Safety Manager or a Safety Advisor, Senior Advisor or Safety Business Partner ready to take the next step into a leadership role?

We are seeking a hands-on Site EHS Manager to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Melbourne's west. Reporting to the Head of EHS and sitting on the Site Leadership Team, this is a highly visible role focused on building relationships, influencing leaders, and driving a proactive safety culture across a complex industrial environment. This is not an office-based compliance role. Success will come from your ability to engage with people on the shop floor, coach leaders, and embed secure work practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all site safety, health and environmental activities
n
Coach and support frontline leaders in managing operational risks
n
Drive safety culture, engagement and behavioural safety initiatives
n
Facilitate incident investigations and corrective actions
n
Manage return to work and injury management processes
n
Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, standards and management systems
n
Monitor safety performance, analyse trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
n
n
The Person
n
n
Substantial proven experience in a safety role within manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, processing or another high-risk operational environment
n
Ideal role for someone to step into their first EHS Manager position or further develop your leadership capability
n
A strong relationship builder who influences through coaching
n
Comfortable working closely with frontline employees and operational leaders
n
Practical understanding of risk management, incident investigation and injury management
n
Strong communication skills with the ability to drive change and build trust across all levels of the business
n
