We are an established automotive workshop in Mirrabooka with around 20 years of experience. We are proud of our reputation, our customers and our team, and we are looking for the right person to become an important part of our continued growth.
This is an opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to step into a
senior Service Advisor / Workshop Manager position
, work closely with the owners and have genuine input into the way the business operates.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is
not just a traditional Service Advisor or reception position.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the
customer experience, workshop workflow, sales performance and day-to-day management of the team.
You will work closely with the owners and technicians to ensure the workshop operates efficiently, customers receive an exceptional experience and the team is working towards common goals.
You will be an important link between our customers, technicians and management.
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, commercially minded and enjoys having responsibility.
You will need to be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, managing people, having difficult conversations and taking responsibility for results.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES
Provide exceptional customer service from the initial booking through to vehicle collection




Answer customer enquiries confidently by phone, email and in person
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers
Understand customer concerns and communicate repairs and recommendations clearly
Prepare accurate estimates and confidently present recommended repairs and servicing
Be comfortable discussing pricing and confidently charging appropriately for the work we provide
Sell genuine repair and maintenance opportunities identified by our technicians
Follow up outstanding estimates and convert approved work into bookings
Ensure customers understand what work is being recommended, why it is required and the associated costs
Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
Deal professionally and calmly with complaints and difficult customers
Take ownership of customer issues and work towards positive outcomes
WORKSHOP MANAGEMENT
Manage the daily workflow of the workshop
Coordinate bookings and technician workload
Monitor vehicle and job progress throughout the day
Liaise closely with technicians regarding inspections, repairs, additional work and completion
Ensure additional work is properly authorised before being carried out
Prioritise work and manage changes throughout the day
Ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and customers are kept informed of delays
Monitor workshop capacity and look for opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
Ensure jobs are not left unfinished or unnecessarily delayed
Work closely with the owners to improve workshop systems, processes and performance
INVOICING & ADMINISTRATION
Prepare, enter and process customer invoices accurately
Ensure labour, parts and other charges are correctly recorded
Check invoices accurately reflect the work completed
Ensure work is properly authorised and documented
Process customer payments in accordance with company procedures
Maintain accurate customer and vehicle information
Follow established workshop systems and procedures
TEAM LEADERSHIP
Lead, support and manage workshop staff on a daily basis
Set clear expectations and ensure team members understand their responsibilities
Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity and performance
Hold staff accountable to agreed standards
Communicate effectively with technicians and apprentices
Address performance and workplace issues promptly and professionally
Help create a positive, respectful and productive team setting
Lead by example
Support the development of less experienced team members
Work with the owners to ensure the team is working towards the goals and standards of the business

sales, customer service, productivity and workshop performance KPIs.

Converting genuine repair and maintenance opportunities
Supporting strong technician productivity
Monitoring outstanding work
Identifying opportunities for improvement
Taking ownership of workshop performance
You don't need to know everything on your first day, but you
must be motivated to learn, improve and achieve.
THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will ideally have previous experience as a:

Strong automotive industry knowledge
Confidence discussing repairs and pricing with customers
Strong sales ability and commercial awareness
The ability to confidently ask for the sale when genuine additional work is required
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Robust attention to detail
Good computer, invoicing and administration skills
Experience managing or leading staff
The ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities
The confidence to deal with difficult customers and challenging situations
A calm and professional approach under pressure
A positive and solution-focused attitude
A strong work ethic
The ability to work independently
Most importantly,
