Your Role as a Registered Nurse
As a Registered Nurse, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that supports the health, wellbeing, dignity and independence of our residents. Working permanent night shifts, you will provide holistic nursing care using a biopsychosocial approach, oversee clinical outcomes, support care staff, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and evidence-based care aligned with Wesley Mission Queensland's Model of Care and values. You will play a key role in clinical assessment, care planning, medication management, documentation, team leadership and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for residents, families and colleagues.

What We're Looking For
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated clinical nursing experience and sound understanding of contemporary nursing practice
Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning and clinical reviews using a biopsychosocial model of care
Solid leadership skills with the ability to guide, coach and support Personal Carers, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with residents,



families and multidisciplinary teams
Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to changing resident needs
Commitment to person-centred care, continuous improvement and quality outcomes
Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop knowledge of, aged care standards, legislation and accreditation requirements
Alignment with Wesley Mission Queensland's vision, mission and values
A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!
Previous experience in residential aged care
Knowledge of dementia care, palliative care, wound management, infection prevention and pain management
Experience leading teams within an aged care environment
Current Driver's Licence
Additional qualifications or training relevant to aged care nursing
Essential Requirements
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy, including applicable aged care and NDIS screening requirements
