Randstad is pleased to be partnering with our client who are a large employer in the mining industry based in the Brisbane Inner suburbs. They are seeking a Payroll Officer to join their payroll team on a permanent basis.

About the role
n
Reporting into the Payroll Lead and working in a team environment, your duties will include:
n
n
Importing and analysing time and attendance data received from sites
n
Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of fortnightly payroll, including any off-cycle pays
n
Maintaining employee records in line with instructions
n




Reviewing pay journals and reports to confirm accurate payments to employees
n
Understanding and interpreting Enterprise Agreements (EA) and Award provisions to ensure compliance
n
Resolving payroll-related queries from HR, line managers and employees in a timely manner
n
Following established payroll processes and identifying improvement opportunities
n
n
About you
n
n
12+ months experience in a payroll position - ideally in a medium to high volume environment
n
Experience using a payroll system
n
Good written and verbal communication skills
n
Exceptional attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
n
Full and unlimited Australian working rights
n

Qualification
n
n
Previous experience in a similar role
n
