As the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day supervision, mentoring and leadership of the Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate and timely billing, effective debt management and exceptional service to clients. You will lead and oversee Private Billing, Medicare, DVA, Health Fund and Corporate billing, manage billing rejections and aged debt, and ensure departmental processes are compliant with company procedures. Reporting directly to the CFO and working with the wider Accounts team, you will identify opportunities for continuous improvement, optimise collections, minimise outstanding debt and contribute to the ongoing financial performance of the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the day-to-day operationsand workflow ofthe Accounts ReceivableDepartment and it's staff.
Supervise, mentor, coach andtrain the AccountsReceivable team on best practice processes.
Oversee accurate andtimely Private, Medicare, DVA, Health Fundand Corporate billingand receipting.
Manage billing rejections, monitor trends andimplement strategies tominimise rejections.
Oversee aged debtorsand debt collectionto maximise collectionsand minimise outstandingdebt.
Manage patient accountqueries and ensurea professional, timelyand customer-focusedservice.
Review, recommend and implement improvements to Accounts Receivable processes, protocols and workflowsto enhance efficiencyand financial performance.
Work closely withthe CFO andAccounts team tomonitor performance, meettargets and drivecontinuous improvement.
To be successfulyou will have:
3+ years' experiencein medical billingand/or AccountsReceivable.
Experience managing and leading teams to achieve outcomes.
Strong knowledgeofmedical billing processesand experience withmedical billing software.
Sound knowledge ofMedicare, DVA, HealthFunds and relevantcompliance requirements.
Comprehensive knowledgeof Accounts Receivableprocesses, including billing,
receipting, rejectionsand debt collection.
Proven leadership experiencewith the abilityto supervise, mentorand develop ateam.
Excellent communication,problem-solving andinterpersonal skills.
Ability to workin a fast-paced healthcare environment, prioritise workload anddelegate effectively.
Solid attention to detail, confidentiality and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, finance or business are desirable but not essential.

Clinpath Laboratories operates over 160 licensed collection centres conveniently located throughout metropolitan Adelaide.
Patients may have specimens collected at any of these locations by our experienced specimen collection staff, and for most routine tests no appointment is required.
Specimens are transported to our laboratories by experienced, well trained Clinpath couriers who work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The laboratory is located in Mile End, SA.
