Hydrapower Australia has been designing and manufacturing hydraulic earthmoving attachments in Brendale since **** — road profilers, stabilisers, trenchers, flail mowers, post hole borers, slashers, brooms and more, direct from our workshop to customers across Australia and overseas.

THE ROLE
n
This is a newly created role sitting at the heart of our operation.
n
As our Operations Manager, you'll be the person helping tie everything together across the workshop, engineering, purchasing and administration functions.
n
You'll work closely with our leading hands, engineer and office team to make sure jobs move through the business efficiently, customers are looked after and production runs smoothly.
n
No two days are exactly the same. One minute you might be helping prioritise fabrication jobs, the next you're coordinating purchasing, solving a production bottleneck or working with the team to improve workflow.
n
The purpose of the role is simple:
n
Help us run and grow the business while building the next chapter of Hydrapower.
n
We're not hiring a resume.

We're hiring a person.
n
Character, attitude and practical leadership matter more to us than fancy titles.
n
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
n
Coordinating day-to-day workshop operations
n
Managing production schedules and priorities
n
Working with fabrication, machining, assembly and paint teams
n
Supporting purchasing and inventory management
n
Coordinating with engineering to keep jobs moving
n
Monitoring workflow, capacity and delivery commitments
n
Leading and supporting staff across the business
n
Running planning and production meetings
n
Working with suppliers and subcontractors
n
Identifying bottlenecks and helping improve efficiency
n
Maintaining a safe, organised and productive workplace
n
Being a key point of communication between the workshop and office
n

Experience leading people in a manufacturing, workshop or operational environment

Highly regarded:
n
n
Trade background
n
Experience in fabrication, machining or heavy equipment manufacturing
n
Experience managing production schedules
n
Purchasing and supplier management experience
n
Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of manufacturing processes
n
Experience working with ERP or manufacturing software systems
n
Exposure to hydraulics, earthmoving equipment or agricultural equipment
n
