Are you an experienced Project Leader who thrives on delivering complex, high-impact projects in a dynamic environment? NBMLHD is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of complex strategic projects that support the future of health services across the District.
This is an opportunity to bring your strategic thinking, commercial acumen, project management expertise and strong stakeholder leadership skills to projects that make a meaningful difference to patients, staff and the broader community.
The Senior Project Officer demonstrates advanced capability in thinking and solving problems, financial and business acumen, planning and prioritising, and delivering results through the leadership and delivery of complex projects. Working collaboratively with the Planning Unit, Finance and Corporate Services Directorate, and major strategic partners.
T he role applies expert analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to develop high‐quality project plans, business cases and commercial/contractual documentation to support delivery of major strategic projects. This requires the ability to manage competing priorities, provide authoritative advice, and foster partnerships, and to contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.

What you will bring to the role
Relevant tertiary qualifications in health service management, project management, business management, or a related health discipline, and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a complex health service environment.
Demonstrated experience in successfully and autonomously leading strategic, business, and/or service planning projects,



including the ability to manage competing priorities, engage stakeholders, and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes, preferably within a complex health service or health planning environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence, and work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines and levels, including senior management, clinicians, industry partners, philanthropic partners, universities, non government organisations, community groups, and community members, to achieve project objectives and support the implementation of service delivery projects.
Demonstrated superior written communication skills, including proven experience in preparing complex project documentation such as business cases, plans, briefing papers, submissions, and reports, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and high quality materials for senior management and diverse stakeholder audiences.
Demonstrated high level understanding of the NSW Health contracts and procurement environment, including relevant governance frameworks, policies, and planning processes, with the ability to effectively operate, adapt, and deliver outcomes within a complex, dynamic, and highly regulated health system.
Demonstrated strong problem solving, conceptual, and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse complex information, identify key issues and risks, develop practical solutions, and apply sound judgement to support effective decision making in a complex health service environment.
Demonstrated technical proficiency with enterprise financial and contract systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
