Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Ashburton, Devon
Luma Education Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive rural school in Ashburton, Devon.

The Role
As an HLTA, you will provide targeted support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and the wider school team.
You'll support learning both individually and in small groups, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and make meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication needs and additional learning needs.
Deliver targeted interventions and support learning in line with EHCP outcomes.
Work closely with teachers,



SENCOs and other professionals.
Support and deliver learning activities when required.
Build strong relationships with pupils and encourage confidence and independence.
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic HLTA who is confident, patient and passionate about supporting children to succeed.
You will ideally have experience working with pupils with additional needs and be comfortable taking responsibility for supporting learning both independently and alongside the class teacher.
