Job Description
6 Month Contract | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working
n
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a large Queensland organisation and take ownership of a commercial office refurbishment project in Brisbane CBD.
n
This is a well-contained capital works project that will see approximately 690m2 of existing office space refurbished and repurposed into a modern, A-grade working environment incorporating a combination of general workspace and team-oriented areas.
n
The Opportunity:
n
Working closely with a small internal property team and a range of external suppliers, you will take the project through the design, procurement, construction and completion phases.
n
The design procurement process will already be well progressed, allowing you to focus on bringing together the business requirements, design outcomes, construction procurement and delivery activities.
n
You will be responsible for providing end-to-end project management, ensuring the project remains on track across scope, time, cost, quality, risk, compliance and stakeholder expectations.
n
Key responsibilities include:

Lead the project through design development, construction procurement, delivery and completion
n
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are clearly captured within the design
n
Manage relationships with architects, design consultants, builders, contractors and internal property stakeholders
n
Coordinate and support the construction procurement and tender process
n
Ensure project deliverables align with relevant safety, compliance and procurement requirements
n
Establish and maintain the project critical path, identifying and addressing potential delays and dependencies
n
Manage project risks, issues, actions,
milestones and reporting
n
Provide explicit and concise project reporting to relevant stakeholders and governance forums
n
Coordinate construction activities through to completion, certification and handover
n
Ensure commercial and contractual obligations are effectively managed throughout the project
n
Drive a strong focus on delivery, quality and value for money
n

About You:
n
n
Proven experience delivering commercial office fit-outs, refurbishments or similar capital works projects
n
Strong end-to-end project management experience across design, procurement and construction
n
Experience managing architects, design consultants, builders and external contractors
n
Strong understanding of construction procurement and tender processes
n
Experience working within Queensland Government or similarly regulated procurement environments will be highly regarded
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
The ability to establish a clear critical path and maintain momentum across a project
n
Strong attention to detail around safety, compliance, quality and governance
n
A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
n
The ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
n
A genuine interest in seeing a project through from commencement to completion
n
n
This role would suit a Project Manager who enjoys a hands-on delivery environment and is comfortable operating across both the strategic and practical aspects of a project.

Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension
n
Project schedule currently anticipated at approximately 11 months
n
Brisbane CBD location
n
Hybrid working - approximately 50% work from home
