What You'll Be Doing
Advocate for rural issues at a state level to ensure our Aboriginal Services are advocated for and considered with changing policy, directions or models of care
Provide strategic planning advice to Senior MHAOD Management and extended Executive Leadership team in consultation with Director MHAOD and Director for Aboriginal Health and Community Relations
Provide clinical leadership in Aboriginal Mental Health service provision including culturally supportive advice, supervision and coaching to the Aboriginal Clinical Leader, Aboriginal Peer workforce and Aboriginal Trainees as well as the extended MHAOD workforce

Selection Criteria
To apply for this position you must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (N.B. An applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act ****, NSW) and must be female (This is a genuine qualification under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act ****)
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, through bloodlines, heritage knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures and have established links with their local Aboriginal Community.
Tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline and eligibility for membership of relevant professional organisations where applicable.
Demonstrated successful experience in project, program or people leadership combined with an ability to achieve positive results through collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches.
Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of current state and national mental health, alcohol and other drug strategic directions in service provision, including those that relate to Aboriginal people and their communities.
Understanding and application of the NSW Mental Health Act. *****), including amendments and this affects Aboriginal people and communities.
