What we need from you:
Strong experience as a
Software Developer / Software Engineer
delivering production software solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with
Python
.
Proven experience building and maintaining solutions using
AWS
, particularly
Serverless technologies
.
Experience with
Infrastructure-as-Code
, preferably
AWS CDK
.
Strong understanding of
DevOps practices and CI/CD
, particularly AWS CodePipeline.
Experience working in
Agile software development environments
.
Ability to
work autonomously in broad direction
and take ownership of deliverables.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working with
multi-disciplinary teams
, including software developers, data scientists, ML engineers, business analysts and SMEs.
Experience delivering
Proofs of Concept through to production capabilities
.
Experience in a
government agency workplace
is highly desirable.

What you'll do:
Design, develop and maintain
production software solutions
using Python and AWS.
Develop and deliver
AWS Serverless applications
.
Build Proofs of Concept in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and business stakeholders.
Take solutions from experimentation through to




production and operational use
.
Develop and maintain
Infrastructure-as-Code
, preferably using AWS CDK.
Implement and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
and DevOps practices.
Contribute to technical documentation and software development standards.
Maintain existing production systems and undertake continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively within a
multi-disciplinary Agile team
.
Contribute ideas and technical expertise around
emerging technologies and responsible AI
.
Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to support AI/ML initiatives.
Contribute to improving code quality, development practices and delivery processes.
