We are currently seeking an organised and motivated Orchard Administration Supervisor to coordinate orchard administration and supervise day to day orchard activities.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with orchard management, this position will support workforce coordination, record keeping, compliance, planning and the completion of daily orchard programs.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise daily orchard activities, including picking, pruning, thinning, tree training and general orchard work
Allocate daily tasks and monitor employee and contractor attendance, productivity and work quality
Assist management with coordinating irrigation, nutrition, spraying, pest and disease control and harvest programs
Maintain accurate orchard records, job sheets, chemical records, timesheets and production reports
Enter and maintain orchard information in Agworld and other company systems
Assist with workforce planning and the coordination of seasonal labour
Coordinate employee and contractor onboarding, inductions and compliance documentation
Monitor labour, materials and equipment usage and report any issues or variances to management
Assist with harvest planning, bin movements, crop estimates and orchard reporting
Conduct toolbox meetings and support workplace health and safety procedures
Monitor compliance with company procedures, quality standards, Fair Work requirements and relevant legislation
Support continuous improvement across orchard administration and work practices
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a well organised supervisor who can coordinate people, maintain accurate records and support the completion of daily orchard activities.
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
Previous experience in an orchard, horticultural or agricultural environment
Experience supervising employees, contractors or seasonal workers
Good understanding of orchard activities such as pruning, thinning, spraying, irrigation and harvesting
Strong administrative, organisational and record keeping skills
Good communication and problem solving abilities
Confidence using computers, spreadsheets and record-management systems
Experience with Agworld or similar agricultural software would be advantageous
Knowledge of workplace health and safety and employee compliance requirements
Ability to work collaboratively in a busy and changing environment
Recent graduates with a relevant qualification and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
Mandatory Requirements
Valid Australian working rights
Current Australian driver's licence
Ability to work flexible hours during peak orchard and harvest periods
