We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a high-performing Agile delivery team delivering technology that supports critical mining operations.
n
This role sits within a specialised mining technology environment, helping shape and deliver capabilities that provide operational visibility, fleet management, automation, equipment health monitoring and real-time decision support across large-scale mining operations. You'll work closely with engineers, QA, stakeholders and product leadership to ensure delivery priorities are transparent, refined and aligned with business outcomes.

What you'll be doing
n

Own and maintain the team backlog, ensuring work is prioritised and delivery-ready
n
Translate business needs into well-defined features, user stories and acceptance criteria
n
Drive backlog refinement activities and prepare work for upcoming sprints
n
Support sprint planning by presenting priorities and facilitating delivery discussions
n
Provide day-to-day clarification and decision‐making during delivery
n
Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities and delivery expectations
n




Coordinate dependencies and resolve delivery impediments across teams
n
Validate and accept completed work against agreed acceptance criteria
n
Ensure quality outcomes are achieved before release
n
Maintain visibility of planned work, progress and delivery commitments
n

What you need to bring
n
n
Proven experience as a Product Owner within Agile delivery environments
n
Strong backlog management, prioritisation and refinement skills
n
Experience writing and managing user stories, features and acceptance criteria
n
Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and sprint-based delivery
n
Experience working with delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps
n
Ability to balance stakeholder needs with delivery realities
n
Strong communication skills across both business and technical audiences
n
Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and remove ambiguity for delivery teams
n
n
Bonus points for

Experience working within mining, resources or industrial technology environments
n
Exposure to operational technology or enterprise software delivery
n
Familiarity with mining technology platforms and operational systems
