Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Contract Administrator to oversee the delivery of electrical infrastructure and energy-related projects from initial planning through to completion and handover. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project outcomes, coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and key stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
You will be responsible for reviewing technical documentation, managing project risks and variations, monitoring construction progress, and conducting site inspections to identify and rectify defects or non-conformances. A strong focus on electrical compliance, quality assurance, contractor performance, and workplace safety will be critical to success in the position.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage electrical projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, scope of works, and technical documentation.
Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, Australian Standards, and relevant regulations.
Monitor construction progress, quality, costs, and project schedules.
Conduct site inspections,
identify defects/non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Manage project risks, technical issues, and changes to scope.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are delivered safely.
Review progress claims, quantities, variations, and supporting documentation.
Promote a robust safety, quality, and compliance culture across electrical works.

Requirements of the role
Appropriate Electrical trade licence, working experience in electrical defect identification, solar design or installation, contract administration and project management.
A valid NSW Driver's license and willingness to drive to remote locations which may include overnight stays

This contract is available from ASAP pending clearance of pre-employment checks for initially 12 months.
Located in Newcastle, NSW
